Every author knows that you need help getting your manuscript ready for publication. Beta readers, editors, maybe reviewers. It takes work and time polishing your book to the best it can be. Even then it's probably not perfect when you release it, but at least you made the effort.
My support staff consists of four felines and a wonderful human editor. The editor is my niece and second daughter. She has several degrees under her belt and a high-paying job at a college doing smart things. I don't know what I'd do without her editing skills. We trade off so I don't pay her for editing my trashy novels, and she doesn't pay me for staying at her house several times a year when she goes on vacation or one of her many work trips. The woman has five cats and a dog so I don't just go to sit and watch TV.
