A good friend and I went to the beach this past weekend. What a great time we had. Our ocean front room had a beautiful view of the ocean and we were close enough to hear the waves crashing on the beach. In the morning I was able to take a nap to the sound of the waves while she walked the beach. I'd walked on it twice the day before and it killed my back and hip but it was nice soaking my feet in the salt water.
We made a point of eating at quaint little sea-side places and before we left to come back home we stopped and filled coolers with fresh seafood and fish from a market right on the water. I wish we had something like that around here in Deltona, but then I guess it wouldn't be fresh. I picked up some huge sea scallops and grouper while she took home shrimp and mahi mahi. Yum!
We had grand plans to getting drunk in the evening once we got in for the day but we were so wiped out that we watched 21 Jump Street, laughed our asses off, and promptly fell asleep. I slept so good, too! Didn't even move. Then in the morning I couldn't move because I was so sore.

Saturday but the food was excellent! There was also a boat race going on at the time.
