Lookie! Lookie!

Congratulations to Cassandra Hicks! She wins a download of one of my 2012 releases, her choice.

What is my favorite part of the holidays? Being with family. And I don't just mean Thanksgiving and Christmas. Any special days during the year that we celebrate, I like spending them with my family. Whether we choose to celebrate with a cookout, dinner out, or party, it doesn't matter. It's a time for catching up. Reconnecting because we live in a fast paced world and don't always make time for each other. Even when we live close by.

The other day my son-in-law and I were talking about the large gatherings we used to have for Christmas. He at his grandmother's house, me married into a family with 10 siblings and their spouses. The traditions and wonderful memories that were made. One that I had always looked forward to was the touch football we played on the front lawn before Christmas dinner. Then there was watching the original Christmas Carol that my mother-in-law loved so much. Now it's watching A Christmas Story with my grandchildren.

What's one of your favorite holiday memories?

Book wise I've had a good year. Four releases including The Mercenary Way, Passionate Encounters, Hot Spot and Up in Flames. My giveaway for this hop is a download of one of them, winner's choice. Please leave your email addys with your responses.

And have some fun!

Congrats on your big year of releases.

Christmas is a great time for family. With both my parents gone now my best memories are when they were still here to celebrate. When I was a child, we always had big family get togethers with all the cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents.

My favorite holiday memories are when it snows (and it seldom does). We get out and build snowmen or throw snowballs or sled or all three. Then come inside and warm by the fire.

Anytime with the family is a good time.

Thanks for letting me get to know you!

Merry Christmas! My favorite Christmas memory is learning to cook with my grandmother on Christmas Eve. She would teach me how to make our family's traditional dishes. Now that she's gone to Heaven, I make the family dishes for Christmas.
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas. Thanks for being part of the hop and for the chance to win. <^_^>

My favorite memory when I was younger is going to my Grandma's every Christmas Eve ,sometimes we would go out to eat and sometimes eat at her house. The whole family would be there and we would open all the presents from Grandma and Pap then and just spend time together as a family.

My second favorite memory was when my son finally was old enough to understand Santa, I will always remember his eyes light up and the huge smile on his face.

My favorite Christmas memories are all the memories with my children. Every Christmas they have matching pajamas no matter how old they are and the wonder in their eyes is amazing to see every year.

cky15: my memories is how many times it takes to put up the christmas tree. We go and cut one down and try to make it stand straight which I fight with LOL.
Try to get it up a couple of days before Christmas and to see all the presents under the tree. Breath a sigh of releif it is all done. I love to see my kids come and start to open presents but they all go for the stocking because it has a special present in it. Miss this because my kids are all grown up and don't get to see them much.

One of my favorite Christmas Romance Books is The Untamable Rogue by Annette Blair! The story is about Ashford Blackburne Fifth Earl and he has to get married and get his willing bride pregnant before Christmas or his grandfather won’t let him inherit his money. Ash truly needs to inherit the money because his late father squandered it all away and he is taking care of his mother. After getting stood up at the alter, again, Ash and his friends go to the local pub where the owner plays a drunken Ash in a card game…his consolation prize is the pubs daughter Larkin, who he wants to get ride of. Ash has to learn to forgive…Larkin has to learn how to trust…can two completely different people find love together. This is a cute, extremely funny, romantic story with a surprise Christmas ending!

What a great year of releases. Now that I have lost my father, every year I got to spend with him is precious in my memories but one year sticks out the most. It involves a live Christmas tree and theft! LOL Long, long story!

Thanks so much for being a part of this great hop and for the amazing giveaways!

Merry Christmas,

My favorite memory of Christmas past is watching my brother and sister openning their presents. The ones I purchases and that they really, really like them. I really enjoy the holiday season. I enjoy the smells, the food and lights. Oh and the music too. Not much into baking anymore. But I do enjoy tasting, ask my scales. Tee Hee. Great blog.

Something that became tradition in our house is using M & M's to make ornaments to hang on the tree. You take a half a cup of your favorite
M & M's (or a mix of all) and put them in the center of some cellophane, pull up the edges and tie with curling ribbon (leaving a loop in the back so that you can hang). Then if the kids start to get "bored", you can hand them an M & M ornament to keep them occupied.

Happy Holidays!

One of my favorite holiday memories is from when the family was celebrating Christmas at my grandparents house. Us kids were talking about Santa and if he was real or not.
Suddenly around midnight or so we hear this loud booming voice call out "HO Ho ho! Merry Christmas" from down stairs. We go running out to see if we can catch Santa and instead find tons of presents under the tree. We checked on all the adults and they were all sleeping. The glass of milk we had was 1/2 drank and one of the 3 cookies were gone.

My favorite memories are how my mom made Christmas special for me and my sister. We come from a difficult background and sometimes it was hard to be cheerful around Christmas but my mom always managed to make it special and have a tree.

I can so relate to what Kris said below, only reverse it for me. I came from a very small (1 sibling) family and married a man who had 9 siblings. Talk about adjustments! LOL

Sledding in the!

I would imagine having someone in the military during the holidays would be very hard, especially if they can't make it home. I'm sure they love receiving those care packages.

Food...yeah baby! It is ALL about the food:)
