What do you love about Autumn and Fall? What does it remind you of? For me it's home, cooler weather, the crackling of a fire in a fireplace, and the holidays. It's spending more time outdoors. Marveling at the fall colors, if you're lucky enough to live in a northern state. Florida's fall colors basically boil down to the maple trees where the leaves turn and then drop off.
I haven't been home (Maine) to enjoy the fall in years. But you can bet my heart is there when the temperature drops even a little here. Every year my cousin, Mary sends me a home made Christmas wreath the beginning of December, and I hang it on the front door where it stays for months. Even brown I love the smell of pine and home. It's no wonder this is my favorite time of year.

Autumn is my time for Shopping for Christmas deals.. Going to work when it's dark and coming home in the dark.. Being in Texas you never know what kind of weather today 11/9/12 86'. Next week 50's - 60's. December could be 30's or 50-60-70-80. I've already pulled out the long sleeves to wear.. This is favorite time to cook. Turkey Time & Soups.. It’s hard to say what exactly would be my Go-To Autumn Romance book. When I think real hard about it, I would have to say it has a sexy, strong, determined male that when it comes to love is just lost. Then there has to be a woman who is usually in need of help or needs to know what love and family is. Together they heal each other and love turns out to be their greatest gift. I also love a happy ending at this time of year, usually where the epilogue has them starting their own family to love and cherish. Oh….and definitely HOT loving too!

Autumn is my favorite season--the smells, the colors, the cool crisp air, scarf & "sweater weather," the lack of tourists...It's all good. I live in the South, so the break in humidity and being able to fling open the windows for some fresh air is fantastic.

My daughter made an apple pie just yesterday, and this morning hot cocoa for the kids. And so many of you are right. The weather is perfect, not too hot and not too cold.
I see some of us have or had birthdays. One on Halloween? Cool! Mine is in December, along with my grandson and sister.
Sweat shirts, hoodies, and big sweaters? I like cuddling in my late husband's plush robe. Makes me feel closer to him, and it's very comfortable.

My favorite part about autumn is that the cool weather gives me the perfect excuse to keep my oven full of yummy deliciousness that I really can't do during two of the three other seasons. I love the feeling of being able to have yummy stuff baking while I nestle in with a good read.

It's funny you should mention football, Kaci. That brings back memories for me, too. My first hubby had 9 siblings and every Thanksgiving we (including spouses) would get a game going out in the yard.
