Today I retired from Disney. Hence the reason for the pen name Tory Richards. I was very careful that there was never any connection made between me and where I worked. For obvious reasons. I left behind 315 cast members, some I'd worked with for ten years. A few, even longer. I left behind my book ends, well, one of them anyway. I sat between Melanie and Rita for years. Two people I care deeply for. We were a team. The go to ladies. The team who got things done.

Rita and I will still be working together. I'm very happy about that.

It was hard to say goodbye. I thought I could hold it together but that didn't last long. The day drained me emotionally and I was kind of glad when it was time to leave.

Hi Tory,
Big Congrats on your retirement. I know the feeling, I retired 3 1/2 years ago, and although I don't miss the job, I miss the times we'd enjoy our morning coffee, chat about the happenings in the community, then at about 10ish we'd start discussing lunch...I do miss that. And I'm sure you think cuz you're retired you'll get a lot more writing done, right? LOL. I know I did. Looking back, I wonder how I was able to do all I did and still, I have to squeeze in writing time...such is life. Congrats again.
