Happy Easter!

One happy Easter memory. My sister and I were just kids. One weekend while we were at our grandmother's house, where we lived with our dad, we were upstairs exploring. Dad's room had a deep closet, kind of scary because it was dark. A curtain hung in the doorway. Lois and I got nosey, like kids do, and we peeked inside the closet. Just on the other side of the curtain we found two Easter baskets. You know, the kind you can buy that are already made up. They were big and pretty and filled with all kinds of goodies.

Lois and I never did tell dad that we'd found them. Waiting for Easter to get there practically killed us, knowing what waited for us upstairs in his closet.

My favorite Easter candy? Cadbury eggs.

Happy Easter Debbie:) My favorite Easter memories are that my two sisters and myself got new outfits (usually matching and made by Mom) and Easter baskets (put together by Mom) every year. It was always a highlight. We have continued the baskets and/or treats for decades beyond childhood and enjoy it just as much:)

Even though we're no longer geographically close we still mail or have mailed to each other special treats. This year one sister sent me some See's all time favorite any time and from the other I got a small purple gingham bunny an peeps:)

I think that's so sweet that you and your sisters are still so close. I only have one sister and sad to say we've never been all that close. I wish it was different but that's the way it is.
