What do you think?

Okay, I'm not a prude, I swear it! But...while hubby and I were out to dinner tonight I saw something I thought was a bit inappropriate. A young man walked into the restaurant, I'd guess he was about 17 or so, with his grandmother. I know because she walked in a couple minutes behind him and I heard her ask, "where's my grandson?" She appeared to be around sixty. They were seated at the table next to us and from their conversation she was treating him to dinner.

Attractive, she had a deep tan which revealed she probably spent a lot of time at the beach or at the tanning salon, and her short hair was a beautiful shade of blond. Long nails were professionally manicured. What caught me by surprise was her attire. The white slacks were okay but her top was very revealing. She had large breasts and was showing an awful lot of skin. It looked like something she might wear on a date or something.

For some reason it just hit me the wrong way. I asked hubby if he thought it was inappropriate and he just shrugged, while ogling her the whole time I might add. What do you think? I just thought she could have worn something a little more grandmotherly, if you know what I mean:)

I see women all the time who are, I guess, trying to recapture their youth by wearing clothes they wore when they were young. But I'm with you. If my grandmother wore something like that, I would be grossed out.

Well, if she were out with a gentleman friend, I could see her dressing to please him. But her grandson ... hmmm.

Debbie...I think that no matter what the age of a woman, a bit of mystery generally turns men on more than a deliberate flaunt. And, at the same time, put it out there and they will ogle:)

As far as the 17 year old, do you really doubt that he hasn't looked at full fledged nude center folds till he's probably gone blind;) and checked out any number of skin flicks as well by this age?!

Grandmother or no, it could be a life lesson to a 17 year old that just because women age doesn't mean they lose their sexuality (appropriate or inappropriately flaunted).

Just saying....Nancy:)

Hmmm, I'm torn on this one... my step grandmother has a great figure, she wore bikini tops and daisy dukes well into her 60's when she was gardening, and she looked good in them! Don't think I ever saw her go out in public like that though... I would think if you were dining with younger family members you might tone it down, but there is something to be said for "If you've got it, flaunt it!"
