Weird Foods

I was cleaning up my inbox, I have 3 email accounts, and came across this interesting article from a friend. It got me to thinking. These pictures show the kinds of foods that were offered up to our athletics when they were in China for the Olympics. And while they might look weird, and down right unappealing to us, it reminded me of the times I'd sampled snails, squid, octopus, pigs feet, liver, blood sausage, tongue, and alligator. How many of you think that's weird food? Would you try any of it?
I draw the line at some things. I refuse to eat brain. Don't even get near me with snake! Shark doesn't appeal to me, either. And I love fish! Of course, I probably wouldn't have tried tongue or squid if I'd known what I was eating at the time. But I have to be honest, both are really good when cooked right. My hubby got me to try a lot of things I wouldn't have tried on my own.

What's the weirdest food you've tried?

i actually tried Choc covered grasshoppers and beetles. they were crunchy and just a bit funny tasting, but I was raised by a hunter and we ate a lot of different wild game so bugs were not that big of a stretch. LOL

Ohhhhhhh...I don't think I could bring myself to eat ANY kind of bug! Not on purpose, anyway. LOL
And I guess it does depend on how you're brought up, and your culture.

I also ate venison, moose, pheasant, rabbit, etc. because my dad hunted.
