Now that the house is on the market I've started cleaning out closets and cupboards. I started with my clothes closet today. Hubby is gone and since he packed just about all the clothes he owns I figured I had a good start.

I have, or should I say had a ton of clothes. So many that I also had some in the guest bedroom closet. Most of them I didn't wear. I have some I wear all the time but couldn't part with the others because I might need them one day. You know how it seems that clothes multiply after a while? And you forget what you have.

Now I'm a little depressed. I was prepared to donate the clothes I didn't want to the homeless. The decision of what I would get rid of was taken out of my hands. Why? Because I couldn't get into them anymore! By the time I was finished I had four pairs of peddle pushers and about a dozen blouses left.

There's going to be some well dressed homeless out there. And now I have a good reason to go out shopping for myself:)

Debbie...Moving or not which one of us isn't exactly where you are with that closet full of clothes that no longer fit. I said I was going to get to that little chore about two years ago when I retired. HA. About the only thing I've gotten to so far are those clothes which are at least two sizes down. Ack!

I need to get real about the fact that I will not be dropping a size and that if by some miracle it did happen, I could then celebrate by purchasing something new...IF needed.

I honestly don't need much of a wardrobe any more. Like you, I have a few favorites that I wear all the time....Nancy:)
