My favorite day of the week. And believe you me, this is one weekly ritual I keep! LOL Saturday is my jammie day. What is jammie day you wonder? It's the one day of the week when I don't have to put on my face. I don't have to put on a bra. I don't have to do anything I don't want to and I did up all my housework the day before. I don't answer the door, I rarely answer the phone, and I only move if I have to use the little girls room or find something to eat.
I stay in my jammies all day and chill. Relax. Laze around in my comfortable 1940's rocker recliner with my lap top on my lap and some monster sci-fi movie on. I make my favorite Barnie's coffee, decaf of course, and savor it all morning. If it's cool enough I open up the sliding glass door behind me to enjoy the air and listen to the wind chimes.
If you don't have a jammie day yet it's probably because you have young children in the house, or you have a more exciting life than I do. But for those of you who indulge and know where I'm coming from, there's nothing like it. We all owe it to ourselves to have one day of the week just for us no matter what we do. It keeps us sane. Gives us something to look forward to when there's nothing else.
Sometimes I even take a nap!

I have a 3 year old, but I still have Jammie day on Saturday. If I'm lucky I have one on Sunday too. :)

I actually thought about going nude the other day when hubby was gone. Maybe if I didn't look like a dumpling with arms and legs...
Sometimes I sleep nude, but I wear jammies around the house. :)

LOL, I used to sleep nude but that was when I was younger and certain body parts were where they're supposed to be!

I am having a jammie day tomorrow. :) I can't wait.
Fridays are still my fav day, because it's the end of the work week and I usually get to spend time with my grandkids. :)
When I don't have them and I have nothing planned, then Sundays are sometimes my jammies day.
I'm in my jammies right now Jambrea! LOL
Love those grandkids, Dina. I have one, she's almost two, love her to pieces! I get to see her tomorrow after work.

I have a jammie day. I also have several "Bubble Bath Nights"...now those are my absolute favorite. I have bubbles or a "bath bomb" and I get a glass of wine and I light my favorite vanilla and lavendar candles. (If I'm not reading, I turn off the lights and lay back.
That takes a while. I do it weekend nights usually. I try to squeeze them in at least once or twice a week as well.
I even included a face mask tonight. I am SO relaxed I could melt right into the sofa.
